Farr Goes is a free community transport service for residents of Farr. We can take you to medical appointments, education / training or trips to shops and friends.
We serve the whole of Farr from Altnaharra to Forsinard to Melvich to Bettyhill, and can take you as far as Inverness or Wick.
Our service uses electric cars. The black car is on loan from Sutherland Resilience Initiative and the white car was bought with funding from SSE Renewables, Highland Council Community Regeneration Funding and Bettyhill Community Council.
Call Paul to book your journey on 07541 481353. You can also contact us via facebook.com/FarrGoes and on WhatsApp.
Our service depends on volunteers. If you are aged over twenty five years, have a driving licence, and can give up a few hours a month then please get in touch.

Donations
We can provide our service free of charge thanks to funding from Bettyhill Community Council (via North and West Sutherland Trust (Craig Rhiabhach Wind Farm)) and the SSER Strathy North Joint Community Benefit Fund and The Robertson Trust.
This funding will not last forever and we welcome donations from passengers and other generous supporters, THANK YOU!
Community Transport Steering Group
Farr Goes is run through a community steering group. This helps us to ensure that the project is meeting the needs of our communities. The current Steering Group comprises:
- Andreas Herfurt (Chair)
- Paul Campbell (Transport Officer)
- Caroline Easthope
- Abby Hardwick
- Catherine Simpson
- Eileen Bryant
- Fred Simmonds
- Patricia Munro
The Steering Group is a formal subgroup of Farr North Development Trust and reports to the Directors of Farr North.
