Director/Board Member

Farr North Community Development is a charity and a company limited by guarantee.  Our activity is governed by a Board of Directors whose role is to set overall strategy and to exercise overall control and supervision of our activity.  Directors are volunteers. Farr North is entering an exiting new phase, and we need Directors who can help us to ensure that our activity reflects community needs. Our Board meets about 8 to 10 times per year.  As a director you will be required to read Board papers and other relevant materials, attend meetings, and help to steer the organisation in a professional manner.  You should expect to commit about 1 day per month to the role as a minimum. Directors are appointed by our members at Annual General Meetings, but the Board can coopt Directors between AGMs when it is appropriate to do so.
