Farr Eats

Meal delivery

Farr Eats delivers hot meals at a subsidised price to the local community.  We have run the project three times, the last one ending in April 2025. It is hoped that the project will be repeated in coming years.

Community meals

Farr Eats has included community meals served in local meeting places including Strathnaver, Armadale, Strathy and Strath Halladale Village Halls.

These meals provided a great chance for people to get together with old friends, meet new ones and get out of the house. Musical instruments and board games were also available for people to play.

Vouchers

From February to April 2026 Farr North is providing vouchers to a limited number of households to help with the Cost of Living Crisis.  Vouchers are strictly limited and are being distributed by our Community Councils, Farr High, Health and Social Services.  Each voucher is worth £20 and can be redeemed for food and household essentials at local outlets.
